Felipe García Chacón enseña clases de piano y composición, se especializa en improvisación en La Escuela de Música Shine en Barcelona.
Felipe began his musical training in the city of Querétaro, under the tutelage of Maestra Teresa Cisneros. He continued his studies at the Faculty of Fine Arts of the Autonomous University of Querétaro under the professorship of Maestro Fausto Castelo. In 2005 Felipe entered the National School of Music, part of the National Autonomous University of Mexico where he trained with the pianist Ma. Teresa Frenk Mora, and studied under Mtro. Arturo Ururchurtu Chavarín, with whom he finished his degree and took his professional exam in 2014.
From 2017 to 2019 Felipe completed a Diploma in Music Composition for film and performing arts under the tutelage of Enrico Chapela, Enrique Mendoza and Andrés Franco Medina-Mora.
Currently Felipe is studying a master’s degree in soundtrack composition and music for audiovisual media at the Escuela Superior de Música de Catalunya in the city of Barcelona, Spain under the direction of composers such as Arnau Bataller, Lluis Verges, Xavier Capellas, among others.
Felipe has completed a variety of different master classes with musicians such as Jesús Castro Balbi, Horacio Franco, Martha García Renart, Farizat Tchibirova, the Ying Quartet, the Turtle Island String Quartet, the Latin American Quartet, Jerry Horner, the members of the José White Quartet, and the Saint Petersburg Quartet, to name a few. He also participated in seminars given by Mtra. Kristina Deli and Mr. Mauricio Ramos Viterbo specializing in piano music from the 20th century, and in the open seminar on Contemporary Music, organized by the Onix Ensemble. During 2018 he participated as part of the First Latin American Forum of Academic Music for Piano organized by the Autonomous University of Querétaro.
In the various singing and Chamber music festivals held at the National School of Music (2008-2011) Felipe was an accompanying pianist. He performed each year in the state of Aguascalientes (2006-2007) and in the municipality of San Miguel de Allende (2006-2007).
Felipe has presented in forums in the city of Querétaro and in Mexico City, standing out among them; the Regional Museum of the City of Querétaro, the City Museum, the Ex Convent of Culhuacán, the Dinosaur Forum in the Chopo Museum, the Xochipilli Concert Hall, Sala Huehuecoyotl Room.
He is currently focused on the creation of different types of work with his silent film musicalization project, utilizing jazz, interpretations of contemporary music and free improvisation. His works Katastrophe and Estado de Choque have been presented at the Raul Flores Canelo Theater and in the Black Box of the National Center for the Arts.
