Oscar Durán Gutiérrez teaches drum classes at the Shine School of Music in Barcelona.

Oscar hails from Colombia and has resided in Barcelona for 20 years. He embarked on his drumming journey from a young age and pursued his studies in music, specializing in classical and modern percussion at UNAB in Colombia, as well as at the Liceo and Sabadell Conservatory. Over the years, he has showcased his talents across various musical genres, ranging from classical pieces accompanied by symphony orchestras to the high energy of punk rock, as well as exploring folk melodies from diverse cultures, jazz rhythms, and the pulsating beats of electronic music. Oscar’s unwavering dedication to percussion and education stems from his fervent desire to continually expand his knowledge and impart his learnings to others.
