Josemaría Moure is a composer, music producer, and multi-instrumentalist. He teaches Galician Bagpipes, Irish Whistle, and Piano at the Shine Music School in Barcelona.
Josemaría embarked on his musical journey at an early age, shaping a versatile and eclectic career that spans singer-songwriting, Celtic and Latin American roots music, pop, and music for audiovisual media. A multi-instrumentalist, he sings and plays guitar, piano, recorders, quena, zampoña, Irish whistles, Galician bagpipes, and more.
As an artist, he has released three albums: Asómate, La Torre, and Desarraigo. His work has been featured in music catalogs such as Brand X Music (USA), Twisted Jukebox (UK), and ViMúsica (ES), and he is also an artist for Audiosocket (USA).
In addition to performing, Josemaría is a dedicated teacher, offering lessons in Galician bagpipes, tin whistles, recorder, beginner piano, and music theory. His bagpipe classes focus first on developing the technical foundation needed to fully unleash the instrument’s sound. From there, he guides students in mastering expressive fluidity through air control and fingering, before exploring both traditional and contemporary repertoire. In his whistle lessons, he emphasizes breath control and fingering technique, followed by an in-depth study of Irish, Scottish, and other musical traditions. For both bagpipes and whistle, Josemaría also incorporates exercises and original compositions to enhance learning and creativity.
